Jean Jullien’s exhibition experience

Juxtapoz Magazine - A Not So Mid-Life Crisis Show: 5 Questions with Jean Jullien on His First European Museum Show @ MIMA, Brussels

On 27 October I visited Studiolo, the Mima museum exhibition by French artist Jean Jullien.

What I found interesting in Jean Jullien’s artwork is the simplicity and the complexity of his work at the same time, what I mean through this is the fact that his arts are all so simple and looks like they are so easy to reproduce but, actually, they are really deep and they are so many messages throughout all his work and I was amazed by that.

I was also very surprised to find out that he is really into family and friendship, he dedies most of his exhibition to his family and friends and all his childhood memories. I could feel through every single piece of art that he created the deep conexion he has with all these people, and it was something so relatable and I felt like he was familiar to me, that really strucked me.
